The movie, the theme, the characters, their changes, their fate....all whirling in my mind and heart. I find myself lapsed into reminiscences, somehow.
Does it make you a failure or ridicule if, to a large extent, your life somehow conform to majority of your society? that you have to absolutely distinguish yourself from the rest by making reckless decisions to do something different? Each life (combined with circumstances and character) can be unique in its own way.
One would DIE for achieving the dreams, or DIE for NOT able to achieving the dreams...
That's how I feel, after pondering over the movie.
[P.S. Yes, perhaps the key is to live with passion...]
an ability to appreciate, a tenderness to accept, an attitude towards life while nurturing wisdom throughout seasons after seasons....

You know I don't watch that many movies but surprisingly this fell into my schedule and I gotta tell ya I love the clothes and the atmosphere of the movie.....
I appreciate the efforts and the meaning it conveyed but I feel it's more like a reminder movie of what is important in life...passion...dreams..etc
I guess I was hoping to be blown away by age old dilemmas which sadly this movie didn't provide for me:(
But I'm glad ya wrote a post about it and enjoyed it:D
Have a good one.
I haven't seen this yet, but your thoughts make me want to. Sounds inticing.
Hi, Fen,
I haven't seen the movie, but I have lived, and do live a life far outside the majority, in nearly every way.
I haven't yet decided whether it's made me a success or a failure. I guess time will tell.
Hope you're smiling today!

Hi acedcardigan ~ yes, I totally agree with you that one has to live w/ passion and dreams. what are yours?
Hi Nancy ~ I'm sure you'll like it. Do share how you think about it afterwards. :)
